Who we are

We are a town centre church with the doors open during the week for different activities as we seek to serve God in the local community. We strive to be a welcoming fellowship and believe that people looking for a place of worship will find us a church in which to settle, integrate, grow and serve.

Open Door

For extra support

Open Door is a drop-in centre located in the heart of Colchester, open for any and everyone who might need a little bit of extra support. Our drop-in sessions are very informal and have a café style. We have a team on hand if you would like to talk to someone or you can just sit quietly and read a newspaper.

 

BMS World Mission

Transforming lives

BMS World Mission is a Christian mission organisation working in around 30 different countries to plant churches and support developing communities. Their work has made a lasting impact on the lives of many throughout the world.

 
 
 

Activities & Groups

Alongside spreading the gospel of Jesus, we are also passionate about supporting and developing our local community. Our range of activities and groups aim to equip people with Biblical knowledge and support, whilst also providing a fun and friendly atmosphere to meet new people, discover more about church life and relax!

 

Prayer & Bible Study

As Christians we believe it’s vital we spend time in prayer and studying the Word of God. We have a range of prayer and bible study groups to suit everyone, as we seek God’s will and purpose throughout our lives.


 

Children & Young People

Children are a gift from God and we want to help them have the best possible start in life. Our range of activities for all young people (aged 0-18), seek to empower kids and have them develop long-lasting friendships within a safe community.

Lunches & Coffee Mornings

Everybody loves food! With special groups for our ladies, men and the more mature members of the congregation, feel free to come along to one of our food groups. Click on the link above for more information.


 

Recreational

Arts, sports, choir practice — whatever you’re into, we’re bound to have something you can get involved with! These groups are open to all ages and abilities, so whether you’re a first-timer knitter or a pro at carpet bowls, we’d love to have you!
